Meursault “En la Barre”
Villages White 750 ml
Tasted: Jun 15, 2018
Note: from a .50 ha holding
Producer note: The young Armand Heitz’s general views about the 2016 vintage are available in Issue 70 as well as the Burghound database. Specifically with respect to the whites he noted that they were bottled in September 2017 after have been lightly fined and filtered. The level of free SO2 was around 35 ppm with 800 to 900 mg of CO2. (T. Tasting note: An interesting nose combines the typical aromas of hazelnut, pear and acacia with a hint of pink grapefruit. The racy, intense and delicious middle weight flavors possess better depth and length on the equally clean and dry finish. There is a hint of warmth but it’s not really intrusive.
