Through considerable endeavour and investment they managed to produce wines on a par with many of the 1st Growths – today Nairac is run by Nicole and her son Nicholas.
Nairac`s 17 hectares of vineyards adjoin those of Climens and are planted with 90% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon Blanc, and 3% Muscadelle. The wine is fermented in wooden casks (50% new) and then matured in oak barrels for 18-30 months.
Nairac displays wonderful elegance, balance and purity, allied with richly botryised fruit. It has considerable cellaring potential.
